"Consider the effects of living a life outside of the embrace of the cross. Such a soul would be far away from Me. He would not find solace in prayer. He would not experience extraordinary graces. He would not see clearly the path I lead him upon. His would be a path of confusion and uncertainty."

"The soul that embraces his cross remains close to Me. His attitudes reflect My own. I choose such a soul as My special instrument. The crosses allotted him are chosen by Me and will not be too difficult to bear with My help. This is by far a great fruit."
